Je ne sais plus pourquoi, mais pendant les dernières vacances de Noël, je me suis dit que je regarderais bien 50 films qui soient chacun représentatifs d'un état américain. Et je me suis dit aussi que probablement un Américain cinéphile avait eu la même idée avant moi. Erreur, il y en a eu au moins deux.

- Le site Rotten Tomatoes tout d'abord, qui est spécialisé dans les critiques de cinéma et qui a la bonne idée de noter les films qui sortent en faisant une moyenne des notes des autres sources critiques.
- Le site d'Entertainment Weekly, à l'origine magazine papier sur l'actualité des divertissements en général, dont les films.
